Led by Beau Briar, who identifies as transgender and occasionally as a clown, the Beau Brian Band explores the intersection of Jazz and Queer culture. Jazz and queerness share a rich but unknown history. The mission of the Beau Briar Band is to bring that knowledge to light and inspire a greater love for queer jazz musicians, while cultivating a space for their unique voices to invade the present day.
