Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Noaa Rienecker grew up around the DIY punk scene and studied jazz at the Berklee College of Music before dropping out to wander around Europe and the US busking and hitchhiking. Eventually he landed in Texas, where he fell into the world of country, bluegrass and Americana.  With a dark, wry lyrical sensibility, he writes strikingly honest, catchy, and thoughtful songs. Driving his sound with crisp acoustic guitar picking and the occasional outburst of overdrive, he delivers a truly unconventional take on the rock and Americana tradition
